In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of carpooling and ridesharing apps on iOS in Norway showcased interesting trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, the following insights highlight the weekly downloads and active user numbers.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a peak in weekly downloads of about 6.4K in late July, followed by a gradual decline, settling around 3.5K by the end of September. Active users, however, showed growth, rising from 67.9K at the start of the quarter to 80.7K by the end.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a relatively stable download rate, starting at approximately 6.6K and ending at 3.5K. Active users fluctuated but ended with a slight increase from 18.2K to 15.8K over the quarter.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery saw a significant decline in downloads, hitting a low in mid-August before gradually recovering to around 665 by the end of September. The app's active users increased from 55K to 53.5K over the same period.

Freenow by Lyft - taxi & more had modest download numbers, with a notable drop mid-quarter, but saw a slight recovery to 12 downloads by the end of September. Active users decreased from 1.3K to 615 throughout the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had consistent download numbers, ranging from 99 to 204 weekly. Active users showed stability, ending the quarter at 2.7K.
